Description: Trak4 is a challenging puzzle game for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Players try to match the pattern on the right to the pattern on the left before time runs out. How to Play:

1. The object of the game is to match the pattern on the right with the pattern on the left before time runs out.

2. You get a sneak peek of the pattern on the left at the beginning of each round.  After that quick peek, the pattern will be covered by a black curtain.  You will be able to see a small portion of the pattern as the spotlight bounces around the pattern.

3. Touch the tiles on the right to rotate them.  Each time you touch a tile it will rotate 90 degrees clockwise.  Keep rotating the tiles until you think you have the pattern matched correctly.

4. If you get stuck, press the HINT button to get a quick peek of the target pattern.  Be careful, you only get one HINT per round.  If you don’t use the HINT button, you will earn 500 BONUS POINTS when you successfully solve the pattern.

5. Press SOLVE when you think you have matched the pattern.  If you are right, you will win the round.  You will earn points for the time remaining.

• On EASY: 5 points per second remaining
• On MEDIUM: 10 points per second remaining
• On HARD: 15 points per second remaining

Special Note:  Earn 500 BONUS POINTS if you don’t need to use the HINT button.

Anyway, once you realise this, you find out its true potential in helping you memorise your elements. I would recommend buying this for that feature alone. Then, you can always pay another dollar if you really need a more comprehensive Periodic Table app.”

I was hoping to be able to set MP3’s to the alarm, but that did not end up happening , but there were a variety of alarms to wake up to. There is nothing that sets this apart. The interface is nice, and the options are nice. I would say worth the .99 cents if you are looking for a bright alternative to the normal alarm clock.”

Application: Diabolotros

Description: Diabolotros is an old-school, retro arcade shooter in which you fight off wave after wave of robotic invaders as they approach your ship. To combat these brutes, your ship is equipped with a pair of guns, and additional weapons (Supergun and The Bomb) can be acquired on each level through skillful shooting.

Fans of Space Invaders, Galaga, Gorf, and other retro shooters will probably find that Diabolotros is just their cup of tea (or just their can of whoop-a*s)!

- Use tilt controls to steer your ship.
- 3 types of weapons. The main guns are launched with on-screen buttons; The Supergun is launched by shaking the device, and causes extra damage in the form of shrapnel from exploded enemies; The Bomb is launched by holding down both on-screen buttons and shaking the device, and unleashes even more carnage on impact, causing a chain reaction which can wipe out a dozen or more invaders with a single shot!
- Invaders “march” in time to a unique soundtrack designed especially for the game.
- After every 5th level is completed, you receive a virtual unlock code that lets you start a new game from that level.
- Global high score table lets you boast of your triumphs on the internet!

User labyrinthworm: “When I first downloaded touch states, I thought I was going to get a “comprehensive system of maps” like the app store provides in their description, but this is not the case. Really the only thing this application shows us is country lines. Yes, you can zoom, and the resolution provides a decent graphical interface, but beyond that this application is really just an un-glorified map of the United States (which you could easily browse to. On the App store it shows all kinds of facts about counties, and it would have been more interesting if the app actually displayed these facts (touching an individual country brought random facts within the program).

The other problem I had with this app was directions. I had to go to the app store to realize how to navigate away from the maps (as when you zoom in , you cannot just zoom out with a  button), but rather you must shake the iPod. I later saw the little i in the corner, but to take a picture I found that only on the app store description (holding the power button then the home button)– an app should stand alone from it’s description on iTunes. Their description says it is a must have “utility application”, but really there is no utility embedded with this other than seeing country lines. Also the collection is not comprehensive – it would be so if it weren’t solely counties. The fact that they advertise “using the entire screen on the iPod / iPhone” shows that they were just looking for text to make it seem like this application is something it is not.

If you really want a static map with the county lines on it, then use your .99 cents, but the app is useless and could really use a graphical boost (given its circumstance) outside of some images.”
